A large percentage of web sites present their information solely through text and supporting graphics. WorldPuja adds another dimension of experience through the introduction of multimedia content - audio and video. You'll find several audio prayers in our Sanctuary section and some video clips in our StayTuned area. We will be adding more and more multimedia content as the days go by.

Hearing Tom Kenyon’s beautiful new Huna Chant, or hearing the prayer “May Peace Prevail on Earth” spoken in 83 of the worlds languages adds a rich new dimension to your online experience, one that far surpasses just reading text on the screen. You can close your eyes, meditate, and listen. You can speak along with the prayers you know, realizing that others are tuned-in and listening with you. Watching a video clip adds yet another dimension.

Configuring your system to enjoy the audio and video clips we provide takes a few basic steps outlined below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU ONLY HAVE TO CONFIGURE YOUR SYSTEM ONCE.

Once the special helper application, or plug-in is installed you will be able to enjoy audio and video on the net whenever it is provided. It’s well worth your time in making this new experience available now.

The Hardware:
First off you'll need a computer with a sound card. Most modern computers have this capability built in. We also recommend add-on computer speakers. They are inexpensive, easy to install and will enrich your experience significantly.

The Software:
Your internet browser software (typically Netscape or Internet Explorer) requires a special “helper” application (also referred to as a “plug-in” or “player application”) which takes the audio and video from the worldpuja.org site and translates it into a format that you can hear and watch on your computer.

NOTE TO AOL USERS: Please update your America Online software to the latest version. Earlier versions were known to have some problems with playing multimedia from the web. Contact AOL for your free update.

The helper application we currently use is the popular RealPlayer software from RealNetworks. This player application is FREE and can be easily downloaded by following the instructions below. Sometimes this software comes bundled with your browser. For a quick test, click on the icon below. If the RealPlayer is already installed you will see a short video clip.

If you receive an error that reads something like: "You do not have the plug-in needed to view the "application/plug-in" type of information on this page, you will need to download the RealPlayer software using the step-by-step instructions below.

If you receive a message like “You have chosen to download a file from this location. What would you like to do with this file” click on the option to “open this file from its current location” (vs save file to disk). If the file plays after choosing this option, you're all set. If not, proceed to the step-by-step instructions below.

Note: If the video clip test played successfully, you have all you need to view our live broadcasts or to enjoy the audio and video provided on our site. If you'd like to sample some more clips, please visit our Sanctuary Rooms.

To add any helper or plug-in software to your browser requires three basic steps.
1. Download the installer software from the provided link.
2. Exit your browser software and install the newly downloaded plug-in software.
3. Restart your browser software, get back on the net and test your new software.

Click on the RealPlayer icon below to start this process. You will link directly to the RealNetworks web site and be presented instructions on how to proceed. Remember, all you need is the FREE player vs. the other options which are presented. The “download free player” option is usually in the upper left hand corner.

Additional Tips:
1. Read the pages that are presented carefully to match your operating system with the right version of the plug-in.

2. Click on the appropriate button or link to download the software. Make note of where you save this file, AND what the file name is. You will need to locate this file after the download is complete. (The file name will be something like rp32_50.exe on PCs or playerppc50.hqx on Macs).

4. Once the file has been downloaded, exit your browser software. If your browser automatically begins to uncompress the file you've downloaded, make a note of the new file name.

5. Double-click on the file you downloaded or open the folder that was uncompressed from the file you downloaded.

6. Double-click on the installer or setup file. This will install your new software. Follow the easy instructions as they are presented. At the end of this process the software will be installed.

7. Restart your internet browser software.

8. Return to worldpuja.org and begin enjoying our multimedia content.

Please Note:
When you access an audio or video clip, your browser will call on the RealPlayer software which will pop-up on top of your browser screen. This little player application has many options which you can access (you can pause the audio, resize the video frame etc.). Feel free to experiment with the controls on the RealPlayer to adjust as you see fit.

Also, if the RealPlayer software is working and you still don’t hear any sound, please check the sound controls located in as many as three different places:
1. The volume control on your external speakers.
2. The volume control on your computer.
3. The software volume control located in the Control Panels folder (accessed from the Apple Menu, upper left-hand corner on Macs, accessed from the bottom left-hand corner on Windows PCs).

Remember, ideally you only have to do this once, and it is well worth it. If you have difficulties please contact pujatech@worldpuja.org. We'd be happy to provide any additional help we can. Thank you for being a part of WorldPuja.
