| Like you, I am in search of Angels. As a former cardiac research nurse, I am also in search of maximum human potential and healthy, enthusiastic life. Perhaps it was the grace of Angels that lead my career to the frontiers of research in heart health. I saw for myself in the data that there was a definite connection between mind and body. Most of the planetary reference data on the subject was in ancient texts; from rejuvenating the human energy field to nourishing the body, it was all there. Out of it all, prayer emerged for me as a core inspiration; the idea that life really happens from the inside in our thoughts and intentions. During a fast forward decade from cardiac nursing to questing for Angels, I have researched ancient and modern interpretations of Angels in hundreds of books and translations of sacred texts. Seekers before me left a path of prayers and legends, some believed too sacred to even write down. The ones that are written are veiled in mysticism. Others remain in the oral traditions, taught by spiritual teachers who see sincerity in the seeker standing before them. Following the ancient formulas and instruction by my mentors along the way, I searched for Angels in the still and silent parts of myself. As a seeker, I climbed into sensory deprivation tanks, swam with wild dolphins, sat in caves in the Andes and the Kings Chamber in Egypt. It only took me deeper into myself and into my joy and healing in prayer and invocation of Angels. Miracles happened in my life, and in the lives my friends and family. We have come to be about communing with Angels. Turns out communing with Angels has been going on for centuries in virtually every major world religion. Beyond their dogma, they have in common the invocation of Angels through a path of mystery, prayer, and meditation. Angels have left their mark on everything from our planetary geometry (Cabala) to personal saviors (Gabriels announcement of the Christ child). As a planetary people we have embraced them, as they have embraced us. Our written and oral traditions have given us teachings about how to commune with Angels. Many of the ancients used prayer and invocation to "open the veils" to the realms where Angels reside. They believed their consistently repeated prayers created a direct pipeline, one we can still tap into today, a pipeline widened by eons of love and devotion. It is my divine enthusiasm to share A Wing and a Prayer. As with any divine enthusiasm, I was inspired to write it for myself and my family and friends - as a portable book of ancient prayers for modern times. Notes for the New Millennium. They are compilations from personal journals, Holy ancient writings, mystery schools, and oral traditions. I am inspired to share with you, as your sister and friend, an ancient world reaching out to you. Have fun reaching back. May your connection to your Angels be a blessing to all life everywhere.
