Demystifying the Autism Experience
 
William Stillman is an award-winning writer and the author of Demystifying the Autistic Experience: A Humanistic Introduction for Parents, Caregivers and Educators (2002), Empowered Autism Parenting: Celebrating (and Defending) Your Child's Place in the World (2009), The Autism Answer Book (2007), The Everything Parent's Guide to Children with Asperger's Syndrome, The Everything Parent's Guide to Children with Bipolar Disorder, The Soul of Autism (2008), and his groundbreaking work, Autism and the God Connection: Redefining the Autistic Experience Through Extraordinary Accounts of Spiritual Giftedness (2006).
 
William has a B.S. in Education from Millersville University in Pennsylvania, and has worked to support people with different ways of being since 1987. He is a contributor to member of the advisory board of the quarterly publication The Autism Perspective, William is also a columnist for CHILDREN OF THE NEW EARTH online magazine. His work has been carried by national news services Google News, Ask News and Reuters and has been cited as the inspiration for the 2009 choreography performance, beyond.words, which premiered at New York's Tribeca Performing Arts Center.
