The Asian Diet: Simple Secrets for Eating Right, Losing Weight, and Being Well for the Whole Family
 
Jason Bussell is an acupuncturist, herbalist, and is the President of the Illinois Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and serves on the Illinois State Board of acupuncture for the State government. He grew up in Wilmette, Illinois in a family of physicians. Jason studied Psychology at DePaul University, graduating with honors; then worked in inpatient psychiatry for many years, working with addictions, children, adolescents, and the chronically mentally ill. He studied pre-med at Loyola University and was all set to attend Medical school when he changed gears and chose to study Oriental medicine.
 
He then completed the four-year Master's of Science in Oriental Medicine at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, graduating with honors. This is where he met his wife, Jeanie Lee Bussell. They both additionally completed an advanced course of training and a clinical internship at the Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in mainland China and their affiliated hospitals. Together, they own and operate A Center for Oriental Medicine (www.acfom.com) in Wilmette, IL. Jason also is a teacher and lecturer, having presented to medical doctors, medical students, nurses, dentists, physical therapists, Cancer Wellness Staff, hospice care workers, corporations, and the general public on a wide variety of topics, and a member of the Curriculum Advisory Board for the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago.
