Amanda Gifford -- Genius Labs Luminous Self Transformation Wizard

Amanda is the co-creator and co-director of the Genius Lab, and director of the Genius Lab participatory style work&playshop series. Otherwise known as Magical Mu, or Empress(ive) Dagmar she brings the art of transformation through a cross pollination of ideas like consciousness, play, imagination, quantum science, biology, nature, design, art, drama therapy, mysticism, and everything else into 'mad scientists forum' or 'an experiential learning' laboratory called Genius Lab!

Amanda is one of seven qualified and HPCSA registered Drama Therapists ( aka Wizards) in South Africa, having completed her Masters in Drama Therapy with a Transpersonal Approach at the California Institute of Integral Studies (see www.ciis.edu) in San Francisco in 2003. She particularly loves to use theatre as a tool for entering the doorway of new realities.

Working with Environmental Engineer, Claire Janisch (Aka Also a Wizard) in the Genius Lab, she uses the concepts of new science, biology, (biomimicy) sacred geometry, free energy brain storms as a platform to influence the design of the workshops. The Genius Lab work follows the energy of inspiration.

They have run a variety of workshops in South Africa for the public, as well as in Yelm for the Children's School of Excellence in Yelm. Some of those workshops include Meetings With Remarkable Nature which looked at patterns and genius in nature, mask work, rainmaking and observing nature.

Amanda has learnt to work with all manner of madness including work in a prison programme for rehabilitation of violent offenders in San Francisco called Resolved To Stop The Violence Project, as well as in prisons in South Africa, in psychiatric units, with HIV positive adolescents, youth at risk, sex workers, personal empowerment trainings and workshops for businesses and schools, staff training and materials development at Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation centres; supervision and training for MA students in Theatre, Activism and Therapy at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and writing homeschooling manuals... amongst other things.

Amanda has also been a student of Ramtha's School of Enlightenment, the Quintessential School of the Mind (www.ramtha.com) since 1999, and draws much of her inspiration & love of learning from her current level of understanding as a student, of the materials taught at this school. She lives in South Africa.
