Paul Rademacher is Executive Director of The Monroe Institute, in Faber Virginia, known for its pioneering work in the exploration of human consciousness. Using a patented auditory technology, The Institute conducts intensive 6 day and weekend programs that help participants to experience profound states of relaxation and expanded awareness.
Mr. Rademacher became interested in consciousness exploration due to a mystical experience that happened as a result of a construction accident in 1980. This profoundly life changing event convinced him to enroll at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he graduated with a Master of Divinity Degree in 1985.
During his 15 years of service as a Presbyterian pastor, he studied extensively in the fields of consciousness and spirituality, seeking to bring together traditional meditation techniques with contemporary expressions of spiritual exploration. In 2001, he became a Residential Facilitator at The Monroe Institute before assuming the role of Executive Director in 2007.
He is a former building contractor, designer, and journeyman carpenter. Paul is also an experienced public speaker, seminar leader, artist, closet musician, husband and father of three. His book, A Spiritual Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe: Travel Tips for the Spiritually Perplexed, was released May, 2009 by Hampton Roads Publishing.
