Technical Tips:

  • If you are not able to attend a live broadcast or you have any difficulty listening to a live broadcast, an archive will be available and you can listen to it any time.

  • Audio quality can vary widely during a live broadcast due to varying conditions with phone lines or microphones at a physical location. If you encounter any audio quality issues, rest assured you can come back to listen to the archives which are professionally mastered for best quality.

  • If you are on a regular dial-up internet connection, do not actively use any other internet applications in the background (such as web browsing, checking e-mail, etc.) while you are listening. Dedicate your internet connection to listening. This will help prevent the audio signal from cutting out if you are on a slow internet connection. (Broadband users should have no issues multitasking.)

Troubleshooting:

IF one of our links for listening to live broadcasts does not work for you (i.e. if it does not launch a MP3 player and begin streaming the audio), there is an alternate option for listening -- you can open the audio stream directly from an MP3 player, such as iTunes, Quicktime, WinAmp, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, or any audio player that supports MP3 format.
  • First, launch the MP3 player application.

  • Then you will need to Open the audio stream inside the MP3 player. You would use the "Open" command from the menu of your MP3 player, and type in (or copy and paste) the URL you want to listen to. For our live broadcast stream, use the URL shown on our Live Broadcasts page.

RSS Feed:

RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually. Our RSS "feed" contains a summary of information about our upcoming webcasts.

RSS content can be read using software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader" or an "aggregator". Some modern web browsers have an RSS reader built in. You would subscribe to a RSS feed by entering the feed's link into your reader or by clicking the RSS icon in a web browser that initiates the subscription process. (See below for icon.) The RSS reader checks your subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.
